All-Day Ride - Circle Z Ranch

Thursday’s All-Day Ride Option

Our all-day rides are typically offered on Thursdays, and these are very popular excursions for our more adventurous guests. In the mornings, our cooks create a custom sack lunch for you, which you will pack, along with your water, into your saddle horn bags and off you go! These are 5-hour rides that take you exploring onto 3 different trails that we are only able to do for the all-day rides.

Ventura Ridge offers guests the chance to explore the grasslands and canyons to the south of the Circle Z and to have lunch on a vista overlooking the ranch lands and into Mexico. The terrain is steep in areas, so we like folks to have experienced a few days in the saddle before this ride.

Castle Butte is on our newly acquired property to the North of the Ranch. You will ride through canyons, along the creek bed, and into the wide open grasslands. Lunch is enjoyed on the saddle of Castle Butte where you will feel like you are on top of the world! This ride also requires more stamina from the riders as it is long and has a fair amount of climbing and descending.

Long Box Canyon is perfectly suited for those who want a more relaxing all-day ride and is not quite as long in the saddle as the other two. You will ride along the lush stream and climb down into Box Canyon which has amazing rock structures. Here you will enjoy your lunch in the shade of an Oak tree. On the return back to the ranch there are plenty of opportunities for loping or a casual walk.
