There are hundreds of miles of trails on and around the Circle Z that appeal to hikers of all levels of ability. Take the easy way down to the lake along the old railroad right-of-way, or head for the high country from your 4,000-foot “base camp.” Many guests take the challenge of Circle Z Mountain and find the effort rewarding. The town of Patagonia is a “gateway” to the 600-mile Arizona Trail, with trailheads both north and south of town.
