The Circle Z Ranch itself is an important part of Arizona’s recent history, opened to guests in 1926, but the ranches historic landscape goes back much farther. Alert guests have found pottery shards and arrow heads, signs of long-term occupation by First Peoples. The incident that started the Apache Wars took place on what is now the Circle Z Ranch propety.
